Caroline “Little Bear” LeboeufA storyteller through
oil and canvas.
Born in Montreal in 1969, Caroline carries threads of French, Spanish, and Iroquois heritage into her work. Her paintings are a love letter to the land and to the ancestors who walked it before her.
Her study of Natural Resources at Sault College deepened a connection to the living world. Through paint, that connection finds another language: animals, trees, celestial skies, and the meeting of the seen and unseen.
“I am a storyteller through oil and canvas, a bridge between worlds seen and unseen.”
The name “Little Bear” was given to Caroline by an Ojibway Elder. Guided by the Universe, her ancestors, and The Bear, she gives her visions form in paint, with the hope of inspiring kindness and understanding.
